How can counselling help me?

One to One counselling provides you with a safe and non-judgmental space to talk about any issues that may be affecting you.

Counselling does not offer to fix problems or tell you what to do, but supports you in working with your feelings so that you can best decide how to move forward. The counselling process helps you to learn about yourself, and supports you in making changes that can create a positive long-term difference to your life.

Individuals come to counselling for many different issues, and it's common to find that difficult circumstances have impacted on current or previous close relationships. Looking at your needs within the context of your relationships can help you gain a clearer understanding of yourself, and how issues affect the dynamic of your partnership or other important relationships in your life.


How I work with you

The sessions will be led by you and are unique and personal to each client. Offering you warmth, respect and empathy, my main aim is to build a trusting relationship which will enable you to open up and really benefit from the sessions.  

I work with a variety of approaches. Sometimes you may just need the space to simply be heard and accepted, at other times clients require a more solution focused, creative or directive approach.
